Patrick Zeitinger is Manager in the ProCredit Holding Credit Risk Department with responsibility for Green Finance in general and Renewable Energy in particular. He has SME finance experience with ProCredit banks in Eastern Europe and Latin America and now supports group banks to implement our ambitious green finance targets (20% of the loan portfolio). He has been improving the group ESMS procedures and training bank staff – central aspects of our Green Bond Framework, which ProCredit and IFC have recently been engaged in and within which we agreed the USD 90 million IFC green bond placement. Patrick brings relevant academic expertise, having written his B.A. (Goethe University, Frankfurt) on monetisation and financialisation of nature and his M.A. (The New School, New York) on the transition towards a circular economy within the capitalist system. He is also teaching two courses in the ProCredit Management Academy on Economic Theories.
