Annabel Ross is a Senior Programme Manager of the Banking Environment Initiative at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL). As a Senior Programme Manager at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, Annabel Ross manages research, convening activities, and business development for the Banking Environment Initiative. Recent research themes include SME financial support for climate action, models for bank-client engagement, nature-related financial risks, and finance’s role in halting and reversing deforestation. Prior to joining CISL, Annabel worked in investment banking, where she managed corporate relationships across lending, capital markets and transaction banking globally. Annabel is an econometrician by background and her early career focused on the natural resources sector. Since then, she has lived and worked in Spain, Brazil, Nepal and Colombia. In 2016 she started and ran her own social enterprise, working with NGOs and companies to develop and execute large and complex events.
