Degree in Business Administration from ICADE. He joined BBVA in 2008 after working for Goldman Sachs for nine years in London and Paris. Since joining BBVA, he has worked in M&A within CIB, first for Spain, then as global manager, before assuming the role of Head of Strategy & Transformation for CIB. In 2017 he assumed as Global Head of Enterprise Clients within the corporate team of Client Solutions, a position from which he led the development of investment banking, corporate, companies and SMEs business including the strategy, models, solutions and channels for these clients in the different banks of the Group. In February 2020, he was appointed  Executive Chairman of BBVA in Colombia.
